Out-of-control lights: When the ship cannot maneuver due to malfunction or other reasons, two vertical all-round red lights must be displayed in easily visible places. The out-of-control light can be used to request the attention and avoidance of other ships, as well as to call for help.

Limited to draft lights: When a ship cannot change its course due to limited draft, it must display three vertical all-round red lights in easily visible places. Draft lights can be used to request priority and avoidance of other ships, as well as to indicate the special nature of the ship.

Tugboat lights: When the tugboat is towing, it must display three vertical all-round yellow lights in an easily visible place. The tug lights can be used to indicate the operating status of the tug, as well as the length and position of the tug and the towed object.

Fishing boat lights: When fishing boats are operating, they must display two vertical all-round lights in easily visible places, with the upper light being red and the lower light being white. Fishing boat lights can be used to indicate the operating status of the fishing boat, as well as the location and range of fishing gear.
